Maddy 2021-22 October student of the month.

Maddy is a member of the Varsity Girls Tennis Team, the Varsity Track and Field Team, the Math Club, Student Council, H-Club, and the National Honor Society at HUHS.  She also participated in Gymnastics during her freshman year. Maddy served as Captain of the Varsity Girls Tennis Team this past season.

Maddy has given back to the community by volunteering her time through Student Council and H-Club making care packages for Support the Troops, timing races for middle school track meets, helping organize and run the Shamrock Shuffle, painting windows downtown for Homecoming week, running stations for Ozzy Fest, ringing bells at Christmas time for the Salvation Army, and helping with her local church’s Chili Social.

After graduation from HUHS, Maddy plans to attend a 4-year university (possibly Arizona State University, the University of Arizona, or UW-LaCrosse) to pursue a degree in biomedical sciences..

Connor 2021-22 October Student of the month

Connor is involved in Student Council (President), Fall Musical (Uncle Fester in The Addams Family), H-Club (Vice-President, Best Buddies (President), FBLA (Secretary), Forensics, Math Club, National Honor Society, Cross Country, and Track.  He is also the President of the Concert Choir at HUHS.  He has been on the High Honor Roll all four years at HUHS, was a 2020 Jerry Award Recipient for Outstanding Lead Performance as Lord Farquaad in Shrek the Musical, earned 1st Place at the 2021 State Forensics Competition, and 8th place at the 2021 State FBLA Competition.

Outside of school, Connor enjoys performing and touring with Kids From Wisconsin during the summer.  He has performed professionally at The Fireside Dinner Theatre, The Palace Theater in the Dells, Capital City Theatre, and Lees McRae Summer Theatre in North Carolina.

Connor has given back to his community by hand making blankets for children in need with Project Linus, running activities at Ozzy Fest, cheering on participants at the Shamrock Shuffle, organizing blood drives, teaching at Realize Your Dream Outreach sessions with Kids From Wisconsin, and fundraising for the United Way’s area school dance.

After high school Connor plans to earn a BFA in musical theatre.

Jacob – 2021-22 September Student of the Month

Jacob has participated in numerous sports and clubs during his high school career.  He has been a member of the Varsity Cross Country and Varsity Track teams all four years.  Jacob was on the varsity swimming team during his freshman year.  He is currently a member of the H-Club and the Math team.  Jacob ran at the state track meet last year placing 8th in the 4×800 relay team event.

Jacob has given back to the community by volunteering his time packing boxes for troops around the world and cleaning gravestones at local cemeteries.  He has also worked on other community projects through the HUHS H-Club.

After high school, Jacob plans on going to a 4-year college to study engineering.  He has toured Madison, Purdue, Duke, North Carolina, and North Carolina State but at this time, he has not decided which school he will be attending.

Riley – 2021-22 September student of the Month

Riley is a member of the National Honor Society, Captain of the Varsity Girls Volleyball Team and President of the H-Club at HUHS.  She is currently ranked first in her class academically and was named 3 times First Team All-Conference and 2 times Honorable Mention All-State in volleyball.

  Over the summer, Riley volunteered to help coach at the Hartford youth volleyball camps, helped set up and run game stations at Ozzy Fest, helped organize local blood drives, and helped lay mulch at the Sycamore Tree Daycare.

After graduation from HUHS, Riley plans to attend Loyola University in Maryland to play volleyball.  She has an older sister who also attended Loyola University in Maryland to play volleyball but they won’t have the opportunity to play together. Riley plans to pursue a degree in Actuarial Sciences because she really enjoys math.

Grace – 2020-21 May Student of the month

Grace is a member of the H-Club, Math Club, the National Honor Society and was a member of the varsity girls tennis team all 4 years.  Throughout her life, Grace has been very active in competitive Irish Dance.  She has placed 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th at the Regionals Individually – 1st, 2nd, 3rd at the Regionals as a team.  Grace also placed 18th and 22nd at the Nationals individually and finished 61st, 55th, and 37th at the World Championships individually.  She has had the opportunity to perform at auditoriums and theaters across the United States and Japan as a member of the Trinity Irish Dance Company.  When Grace was only 9 years old, she was chosen to be one of 16 Irish Dancers on a U13 Choreography Team. All of the other dancers were 11 and 12.  The team competed at the World Championships of Irish Dance in London and won GOLD for the United States!

Grace has given back to the community by volunteering her time at the St. Gabriel Flea Market, the St. Ben’s Meal Program, the Salvation Army bell ringing campaign, the Collect/Pack shoes for Souls for Jesus program, Enchantment in the Park in West Bend, the Children’s Hospital Phonathon, and various Irish Dance programs.

After high school, Grace plans to attend St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI to pursue a major in Biology focusing on pre-med or pre-physical therapy.  She also plans to play tennis for St. Norbert College.

Courtney – May Student of the Month 2020-21.

Courtney is a member of the National Honor Society and a three-year member of the Girl’s Gymnastic team at HUHS.  She was a member of the Sectional Gymnastics Championship team grades 9-11 and a member of the WIAA Division 1 Gymnastics State Championship Team as a junior.  Courtney received Academic All-State Gold recognition grades 9-11.

Courtney has given back to the community by volunteering her time with the Hunger Task Force, St. Judes, Zachariah’s Acres, and the MS Walk/Run.  She has also helped tutor students at local schools.

Courtney has received her Certified Nurse Aide License.  After graduation from high school, she plans to attend UW-Oshkosh to pursue a degree in nursing.

Olivia – April 2020-21 Student of the Month

Olivia has participated in Girls Volleyball (4 years), Girls Basketball (4 years), Girls Soccer (4 years), National Honor Society (2 years), H-Club (3 years) at HUHS.  She received the WVCA Individual All-Academic Award (grades 10-12), served as an H-Club Events Coordinator during her senior year, and was named Captain of the Girls Basketball team.  Olivia was one of ten students invited to the Sportsmanship Summit in Stevens Point and one of four students invited to the Kevin Atlas Leadership Conference.

Olivia has volunteered through National Honor Society and H-Club which included coaching at K-3 and K-8 Hartford basketball and soccer camps and helping coach a 5th/7th grade Hartford Basketball Club team.  She has also volunteered her time at her church as an assistant Sunday School Teacher and working at church fish fries and cookie sales.  Olivia has also worked at the annual Lincoln School Fun Fair and at Paws in Thrift.

After graduation from high school, Olivia plans to attend the University of Minnesota to study Architecture/Interior Design.

Stephanie – April 2020-21 Student of the Month

Stephanie has been active in Student Council (4 years), FBLA (3 years), DECA (3 years), Girls Tennis (4 years), National Honor Society (2 years), National Business Honors Society (2 years), and Boys Tennis Manager (4 years) at HUHS.  She finished in 1st Place at the FBLA State competition and in 4th Place at the DECA State competition.  This past year, Stephanie served as the FBLA Region 6 Vice-President. 

Stephanie has volunteered her time serving as a tutor, helping at a local Halloween food drive (2 years), handing out gifts at a local children’s Christmas party (4 years), collecting crayons to be remelted into new crayons for hospitals, and making blankets for homeless shelters (3 years).

After graduation from high school, Stephanie plans to attend UW-Madison to major in Finance and Investment Banking.  She would eventually like to pursue a career in Corporate Law.

Marina – March 2020-21 Student of the month

Marina was ranked in the top 4% of her class since 2018 and has been very involved in co-curricular activities at HUHS.  She participated in girls tennis (4 years), Marching Band (4 years), Pep Band (4 years), Model UN (4 years), Spring Play (2 years), Fall Musical Pit Orchestra (1 year), and National Honor Society (2 years).  In 2020, Marina was nominated to attend Badger Girls State.

Marina has given back to the community by volunteering her time serving food at the Holiday Folk Fair at State Fair Park, serving as a Vacation Bible School leader at St. Theresa of Calcutta church, working as a Ring Toss Booth Manager at the Erin School Fun Fair, and serving as an AP Government and Politics mentor.  In 2017, she received the Shamrock Award given annually to one student based on involvement in school activities, leadership, attitude, and volunteerism.

After graduation from high school, Marina plans to attend Hillsdale College in Hillsdale Michigan to pursue a major in American Studies/Politics with a minor in Marketing.

Erica – March 2020-21 Student of the month

Erica is a member of the varsity girl’s softball team, the Best Buddies program, the H-Club, and currently serves as Vice-President of the HUHS Concert Choir.  She also participated in girls’ basketball (2 years) and girls’ volleyball (1 year).  Erica participated in the fall musical Little Shop of Horrors her sophomore year and Shrek: The Musical her junior year where she played Teen Fiona.  She has qualified for state Solo and Ensemble for voice solos several times and won several awards for her picture taking when she was on The Hartford Chronicle her sophomore and junior year.

Erica has volunteered her time serving community lunches held by several churches in town and has also helped deliver meals on wheels in the summertime.  Through H-Club, she has participated in the Salvation Army Bell ringing campaign, the Toys for Tots drive, the Thanksgiving food drive, and the Erin School fitness day.

After graduation from high school, Erica plans to attend East Georgia State College to study psychology and play softball.  East Georgia State College is a two-year school so after that, she will transfer to a four-year college to hopefully play two more years of softball and earn her psychology degree.  Erica hopes to go onto graduate school to earn her master’s degree in sports psychology.  She would like to coach college softball and ultimately would like to be a full-time head coach.
