Kylie – February 2017-18 Student of the Month

Posted By Fred Wittenberger

Kylie is Vice President of National Honor Society, Leadership Committee Chair on the HUHS Student Council, Student Editor of Creatif (a student-led poetry, prose, art, and photography publication), and was a member of the varsity girls tennis team during her junior and senior year. Kylie also represented HUHS at the World Affairs Seminar at Carroll University during her sophomore year and was named an AP Scholar with Honor due to the quantity of AP classes taken at Hartford.

Kylie is a member of the Day of Service planning team. In May 2018, all students at HUHS will participate in a school-wide day of volunteering on service projects at the high school and in the greater Hartford Community. Kylie also organized the Middle School Leadership Conference held at HUHS on January 24, 2018. At this conference, area middle school students had the opportunity to shadow HUHS students and participate in leadership and team building activities for the day.

At this time, Kylie has not decided on which university she plans to attend but she does have a broad range of interests including teaching, industrial engineering, and applied research psychology. No matter what career she chooses, her biggest goal is to never stop learning.
