Holly – November 2017-18 Student of the Month

Posted By Fred Wittenberger

Holly was a Cheer team member during her freshman year. She has been nominated for National Honor Society and has been a member of the HUHS Dance Team during her sophomore, junior, and senior years.  Holly was named Captain of the Competitive Dance Team this year.  Her leadership responsibilities are to communicate to the team, choreograph routines, demonstrate proper dance techniques, and lead proper stretching exercises.  Holly also represented HUHS at the We The People: The Citizen and Constitution State Finals Competition at Marquette Law School during her sophomore year.

Holly has given back to her community by volunteering her time with her Church Youth Group.  She ushers and serves as an acolyte during church worship services, helped with the highway cleanup program, baked and decorated cookies for the cookie fair, designed, painted, and decorated youth rooms for the Boys and Girls Club, and participated in the Haiti Food Pack Program.  She also volunteers her time as a Girl Scout Program Aide and served as a humanitarian volunteer in Nicaragua donating school supplies and repainting student desks at a local elementary school.

In the spring, Holly plans to take CNA classes at Moraine Park Technical College.  In the fall, she plans to attend Carroll University to pursue a major in Exercise and Science.  Holly’s ultimate goal is to earn a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
