Sheridan – September 2017-18 Student of the Month

Posted By Fred Wittenberger

Sheridan is a member of the HUHS National Honor Society, the DECA and FBLA Clubs, and the SMART TEAM (Students Modeling a Research Topic).  She received the National Honor Society’s Spade award, which recognizes top academic performance in the junior class.  Sheridan placed first at FBLA Regionals the past two years for business presentations.  She placed fifth at state in business presentations during her sophomore year.  During her freshman and sophomore year, Sheridan also participated in Girl’s Volleyball, Girl’s Varsity Basketball, Girl’s Varsity Softball, and Mock Trial.

Sheridan has given back to her community by volunteering her time serving during mass and at the annual fall festival at her local parish, St. John’s in Rubicon.  She has also volunteered her time at local fundraising events for individuals within the community.

Sheridan is currently taking her CNA course at Moraine Park Technical College in Beaver Dam.  She is not sure which university she will attend in the future, but she has been accepted into the Direct Admission Program for Nursing at Bradley University.  Eventually, Sheridan wants to become a Nurse Practitioner.  She also enjoys traveling and has been to Spain and Peru.  She hopes to incorporate Spanish into her future educational plans as a second language to better prepare her to help patients in her medical career.
