She has a passion for Math and Science and is one of the leaders of the SMART Team and was recently chosen to be part of the Varsity Math Team that represented HUHS at the North Shore Conference Math Meet.

Outside of school, Melissa does volunteer work for St. John’s and St. Kilian’s Parishes. She has also volunteered her time for Habitat for Humanity, the HUHS National Honor Society, and Red Cross blood drives through the HUHS Student Council.

After high school, Melissa plans to attend UW-Madison to pursue a major in Materials Science and Engineering. She also would like to earn a Biology in Engineering Certificate so she can apply her degree in the medical field and help create materials for medical devices.
