January 2017-18 Student of the Month – Taylor

Posted By Fred Wittenberger

Taylor is very active in the FBLA (Future Business Leaders Of America) organization at HUHS.  Through FBLA, Taylor has had the opportunity to participate in conferences, competitions, and other volunteer activities.  Taylor participates in the Co-op/Youth apprentice program at Hartford.  Through this program, she works in the school store known as the Birdhouse.  Taylor has several responsibilities in the Birdhouse such as: order new apparel/inventory, serve the students, and complete weekly deposits.

In her free time, Taylor volunteers at the Aurora Medical Center of Washington County.  Last year, she volunteered in the gift shop.  This year, she is helping out with a variety of small jobs as they come up.  Through FBLA, Taylor has volunteered her time as a bell ringer at Walmart to help raise money for the Salvation Army.

After graduation from Hartford Union High School, Taylor plans to pursue a career in Business or as an Administrative Professional.  She has been accepted to attend UW-Whitewater, UW-Washington County, and Moraine Park Technical College but is still deciding which school will be her best option.
