Posted By Fred Wittenberger

Delaney Hennes has been involved in Ski Team, Model UN, Math Team, Fall Musical, Cyber Patriot, SMART Team, Math Club, 4H, Girl Scouts, Beamline, National Honor Society, and Cross Country.  She participated in a biomedical research internship at the Medical College of Wisconsin during her junior year, and as a freshman and a sophomore she was involved in marine biology research trips to the Florida Keys.  Delaney was selected for the WSMA Honors Choir and also awarded the Girl Scouts Silver Award.  She qualified for the State Downhill Ski Championships the past two years, and was a member of the HUHS Beamline team that qualified in the top 13 for the international BL4S Competition (a competition for proposing experiments in particle physics for testing at CERN/DESY).  Delaney is currently ranked number one in her class.

Delaney has given back to her community by volunteering in youth ministries at her church and in various capacities through Girl Scouts and 4H.  She has also volunteered at a wildlife rehabilitation center.

Delaney is currently planning on going into computer science, with a focus on research involving physics, neuroscience, or genetics.  Her dream is to attend an Ivy League school (and study abroad throughout).  Delaney is also working towards completing her paramedic certification, as she intends to work part-time in EMS.
