Brandon – September 2017-18 Student of the Month

Posted By Fred Wittenberger

Brandon is a member of the National Honor Society, the Math Club, the Drum Major of the Marching Band, and President of the FFA Club at Hartford Union High School.  He received a gold rating on the FFA beef and sheep production proficiency awards and has been a sectional qualifier for multiple FFA  speaking contests.

Brandon has given back to his community by volunteering his time with the Hartford Special Olympics program and with the Hartford Christmas Project.  He also enjoys showing pigs and sheep at the County Fair and working on his parent’s farm.  Brandon is also involved in his own sheep raising business.

In the fall, Brandon plans to attend UW-Madison to pursue a major in Dairy Science.  He hopes to be able to complete internships with animal nutrition companies in the United States and internationally. Eventually, Brandon would like to earn a PH.D. in Dairy Science with an emphasis in nutrition.
